Real Men Aren't Afraid of Ballroom Dancing

Anybody who still believes the myth that ballroom dancing is for sissies has either been living under a rock or is simply using that as an excuse for their own fears.

Emmitt Smith of Dallas Cowboys fame, and former Superbowl Champion, waltzed away Wednesday night with another winning trophy to place on his mantel, this one the championship Mirror Ball Trophy from ABC's "Dancing with the Stars".

I am so proud of this man for shattering all the stereotypes, and offering a resounding response once and for all to the age old question: what type of man learns ballroom dancing? The answer....a REAL man!

There can surely be no question as to this man's virility, nor his confidence in himself. Not only did he plunge wholeheartedly into unfamiliar waters, but he chose to do it on nationwide television, in front of millions of viewers. How many men (or women, for that matter) have the guts to do that?

I've heard all the whiny excuses for not taking ballroom dancing lessons...I've got two left feet....dancing is for sissies....I don't have time to learn something new....what good does it do to know how to dance, I'll never compete...I'll look stupid....I'm no good at it...I don't like it....it's too expensive...and on and on ad nauseum. It doesn't matter the words they choose, they're all saying basically the same thing..."I lack confidence in myself and I'm scared". How terribly, pathetically sad.

Knowing what I know about ballroom dancing, there simply is no excuse for not learning. I've seen men without legs on the ballroom dance floor. I've watched macho types, geeky types and overweight men move with grace as they executed a beautiful promenade. I've known men who took on odd jobs to pay for continued lessons. I've witnessed men literally dragged into the studio against their will and watched with pride as they developed into, not just great dancers, but one even went on to become a phenomenal instructor. How much they all would have missed if they had let their fears keep them from trying.

There are many things in this world to be afraid of. Ballroom dancing isn't one of them. Don't be afraid to open yourself to new possibilities. The numerous benefits you'll receive may shock you.

Make a Superman Costume Out of Your Own Materials

With a little ingenuity, it is not that hard to create a Superman costume out of the materials you have at home. First it is important to get an idea of what you are trying to make. Gather some sources that you can refer to later when you might have a question on what might work best. Overall, from head to toe, you will need a blue long-sleeved shirt, a red and yellow ‘S’ logo for the front, red underwear, blue pants, red stockings, and a red cape. You might be thinking that some of these things are nowhere to be found in your house. Just take another look around.

A blue shirt shouldn’t be too hard to find. It can be a coat, turtle-neck, pajama top…the list is pretty extensive. Don’t restrict your thinking to your personal wardrobe either. Don’t worry if the shirt doesn’t fit exactly because it will mostly going to be covered by the red cape.

Moving onto the logo, this can be made with masking tape, construction paper, computer print out or an iron on patch. Referencing one of your pictures is important to make sure that you have the right colors and pattern to your design. Once this has been fastened to the shirt you can move to the next step.

Pants really should be another easy quest. The same rules apply to the pants as did the shirt. It looks best if they are snug so thermal underwear, your sister’s tights, or stretchy pajama bottoms might work well. Cotton is usually the warmest and most comfortable. As for the red underwear and the belt that cover the waist, I would suggest using your own clothing… just a thought.

For the feet, if you have a pair of red boots or shoes, that seems to work best. Red sparkly or slick stockings might work as well, depending on where you will be wearing the costume. A cape can be formed by using a red sheet, towel or blanket. Become resourceful. Anything that is white will work for you as well because the wonderful power of fabric dye can fix just about anything if it is of the right material. Thinking outside the box withholds the key to creating a wonderful Superman costume out of things you already have at home.

Internet Mom Builds A Profitable Business All Over The World From The Comforts Of Home With

Who said the Internet's dead? The Internet can actually be extremely helpful in building your Network Marketing business. One important key to keep in mind…..

Make sure to use the Internet as an effective communication tool.

You want to become successful building on the Internet right?

Here’s the MOST important thing the Internet Mom has done to build a profitable business online….

TWO way communication!

The Internet is one of the most powerful communication tools to help us save time and reach more people from around the world!

Make sure you’re not being mixed up with the millions of bulk email ads promising overnight riches!

This is all ONE way communication!!

You know all the worthless spam that's filling up millions of email boxes and causing more and more people to use those filter blocking high tech devices that are affecting even those of us who are offering REAL legitimate help to people who actually ARE looking for what we have to offer!

Geezzzz.....why can't people just get REAL?

It’s no wonder we hear people crying….”it’s getting tougher and tougher to make money on the Internet”!

Well duh!!!

This only happens when people try to building a business online without building relationships of any kind. What’s worse is most of them don’t even care to build relationships because they’re only interested in getting what they want!

There’s no TWO way communication going on!

People think an Internet business can be started by putting up a website or by sending out these long drawn out boring emails to people, even the people they’ve met online and think everyone’s going to just jump for joy to get

into their great opportunity.

This Internet Mom doesn't hide behind a screen all day sending out emails to millions of people that most likely won't even open them, and she doesn’t put her Internet business on auto pilot without using the human touch!

Anyone still using bulk email to spam people into oblivion might as well just give it up right now because that’s not how it works any more! Puke puke puke!

With all the new spam filters today, most of these emails won't even make it through to a real person. Not to mention how much spam email gets deleted when it does get through.

Anyone using his method to build online will find out just how cold the Internet can be when they get shut down by

their ISP because of all the spam complaints!

Use caution when buying leads online too because a lot of times people don’t remember signing up for something and when they receive information some of them will scream spam!

Make sure when purchasing leads that they come with all the documented proof ie: ISP address, date and time stamp. Here’s what to look for

151.197.226.88,Name of person,2004-12-28

So how has this Internet Mom built a profitable thriving business with thousands of distributors from all over the world all from the comforts of her home with the Internet and the telephone?

Simply by building a successful long term network marketing business using the Internet as an effective communication tool to build relationships with a few key ‘people’ that were met online! TWO way communication!

What tools are used?

Autoresponders are used to help automate information while I’m sleeping, proven leads are purchased (be very careful of this and make sure you have the above information on all of the leads you buy online and only buy leads

that have been tested by someone you know and trust), people are directed to websites and email marketing is used effectively with drip campaigns. Online communities and discussion groups have also been very effective when used properly.

Building a strong foundation by really getting to know people and what makes them tick and allowing them to get to know us!

People like doing business with people they know, like and trust. Don't you?

Do business with people that you meet on the Internet by simply developing relationships with them! It’s

simple but remember getting to actually know people and developing a relationship takes some time!

Another very important key is to NEVER GIVE UP!

So how is all this done effectively?

By turning high tech automation with the Internet into high touch relationships. TWO way communication which

builds a thriving profitable Network Marketing business.

Be different from all those generic web sites that are pushing products in people's faces and telling them how much they NEED these products and services. Has there been any TWO way communication asking them what they need?

Give people something much more than just another web site loaded with facts and figures, search engines, and links to everywhere and everything in the whole wide world.

Take someone to a place where they feel comfortable. Where they see you are for real, and not only YOU but an entire TEAM of people then you and they just might start to experience the real beginnings of building a solid foundation for the future.

So how on earth does an Internet Mom do this?

By being different from all the rest. One solution is to create a sense of identity by branding yourself.

A personal web page is a great way to do this!

Tell people about yourself, your family, your team, your goals, why you do what you do and how you’re going to help them!

There are website templates available now that are very affordable and user friendly so you do not have to hire a web designer and pay thousands of dollars for a fancy website presence. Keep it simple, personable and professional so that people can duplicate you!

Put your blog on your site, photos of you and your family, your business team, your company convention photos, your products, your dog, whatever you like to show people that you're real! A blog is a great way to do this. A blog is sort of like writing a diary or think of it as your memoirs! A blog is a great way to brand yourself and start building relationships online because it’s a way for people to get to know you and start the communication process because they can post back to your blog. TWO way communication!

People decide whether or not to read your blog. It’s not spam sent to them that they didn’t asked for. It’s their choice to read it or not and it’s also their choice to respond or not.

The goal with a personal website is to create a place where people will get to know you a bit better and determine if they’d like to know you even more and most importantly partner with you.

You can use your personal website to show people what your values are, what's important to you and use it as an ice breaker to building a relationship with your future business partners.

Most people already have websites provided by their companies.

These websites are usually very high quality, professionally maintained websites, filled with all the necessary information anyone could ever want to know about a business opportunity, products, services, etc. ONE way

communication!

These websites are ONLY to send out after you've started your rapport and relationship building with people. AFTER you find out if they are even interested in what your opportunity and ready for TWO way communication!

Company websites are used for informational purposes to sell the company and products, not to help people get to know YOU! They don’t sell you, YOU sell you!

Think of ALL the websites you see all day long and all of the emails you receive? Do you get to know these people from these websites and/or emails? Do you see a REAL picture of the person on there or some model photo? Do any of these people ask, “how can I help you”? ONE way communication!

What if you see a personal website and it tells you a little about them as a person, you see their face, and how they are all working together as a team and how much fun they are all having together and of course all the important training content that’s important too?

What if you started receiving emails from people that are really interested in YOU and how you and your family are doing and asking how can they help YOU? How about personal emails? Who sends those anymore? The Internet Mom does. TWO way communication!

Always get the people’s permission FIRST! Get invited into their lives! The best way to get invited into THEIR lives is to show them YOURS! TWO way communication!

This is how the Internet MOM communicates!

Remember its important FIRST to find out where a person is in their life, find out about THEM first and if they are interested in getting to know you and reviewing your information. Developing a relationships also means picking

up the telephone and actually speaking with people! This is where the real high touch starts happening! TWO

way communication!

Picking up the phone and calling to introduce yourself is extremely important and one of the key reasons why

the Internet Mom has been so successful in building a very profitable business online!

Here's a couple of true stories that have developed through TWO way communication and turned into a true

long term passive residual income for the Internet Mom!

I have been building relationships online since 1996 and started publishing a newsletter in 1997 before knowing

anything about writing or developing a newsletter. Over the years it has evolved with substance and content and

has developed into a lot of TWO way communication because of the long term relationships that have developed!

In October of 2003 I sent something out to my newsletter readers about a new company I had just joined. Some

of my readers had been reading my newsletter for over five years. Well this particular company information hit

the hot button of five readers. One of them was an Internet Marketing student from my newsletter for years.

From that one mailing the sales force with that company has grown to thousands of people and it continues to grow monthly and provides me with a very nice passive residual income every single month even though I do not work it now! In fact, this company had a convention recently and many people from that sales force were there and I

wasn't even present!

A lady from all the way across the world in Australia emailed from an online community about the business and I picked up the telephone and called her in Australia, started the relationship and now I have hundreds of people

in my organization from Australia! All from one relationship online!

Another affiliate income that the Internet Mom has growing with people from all over the world came from

building a key relationship with one person met on the Internet over eight years ago!

The Internet Mom has developed true LEVERAGE through TWO way communication!

Where To Find Contemporary Art Auctions

There are many choices available today if you are a contemporary art collector. Whether online or offline, depending on your budget and preferences, there are a lot of places where you can buy contemporary art

If you are a serious contemporary art collector, pay a visit to your local fine art auction house. They usually have a schedule of the list of contemporary art to be auctioned on any day as well as some background information on the art pieces being auctioned.

If you do not have the budget or can't find an art auction house near your neighbourhood, get online and there are also many sites offering a wide range contemporary art auctions.

There are many art galleries who have taken their art pieces online to help people decide whether a particular style of contemporary art suits them. Just search for art galleries on google bring up nearly 1000 different art galleries from around the world showing their contemporary art collections.

Another place I like to visit is online auction sites like ebay.com and bidz.com. They have a wide variety of contemporary art to choose from and their prices does varies from one seller to another but generally, it is pretty cheap.

I know many new artists use ebay and other auction sites as a way to get their contemporary art seen by many people. Since their art is still unknown, many art galleries may not be willing to place their art pieces on sale in their galleries.

However, I do advise caution on online art auction sites since there are many fakes art pieces on auctions. Some sellers are honest and acknowledged it is an imitation. However I brought some contemporary art pieces which were not what the seller claims it is.

If you are a serious art collector or collect art for investment but do not have sufficient knowledge, I would advise getting a art appraiser to help you. This is particularly so for expensive contemporary art collections as you do not want the risk of buying a fake art work. The extra cost is worth it.

The internet has opened a whole new way of buying contemporary art, letting people choose and compare various contemporary art collection from different artists, new or famous in the comfort of their homes. You are also able to buy contemporary art from other countries and cultures easily. Distance and language barriers are not a factor in today's world.

The Fantasy Genre Gives Fantasy Readers Escapism And Perspective On Every Day Life

The fantasy genre has been a mainstay of modern publishing for close to a century now. Since the rise and enduring popularity of such authors as Edgar Rice Burroughs, Robert E. Howard, H.P. Lovecraft, J.R.R. Tolkien, a steady stream of readers have been loyal to fantasy fiction as evidenced by the current popularity of such titans as R.A. Salvatore, Christopher Paolini, and the remarkable George R.R. Martin.

Certainly on the surface the appeal of the fantasy genre is based on the escape it offers from the daily tedium of life. However, the escapist element of the literature gives readers more than a simple trip away from their problems. Fantasy fiction engrosses readers because it involves them in problems that are so much worse than those faced by the typical modern person. Losing a job can pale in comparison to the threat of darkness overtaking the whole of Middle Earth in Tolkien’s "Lord of the Rings" trilogy if Sauron is allowed to prevail and inflict his cruel and malicious regime upon the world.

Then in the "Song of Ice and Fire" series by George R.R. Martin there is the eruption of civil war as factions vie for the Iron Throne, the birth of dragons, the rise of a new religious cult led by a sorceress clothed in the red who has mysterious powers and control of a king, and the rise of the wildling tribes north of the colossal ice Wall that protects the civilized lands. The upheaval, danger, and intrigue of Martin’s world makes even today’s turbulent times feel safer.

The stakes are high in fantasy literature and that is the crux of the fantasy genre’s ability to captivate. Even if the world is not at risk in a story, such as when Conan is grappling in hand-to-hand combat with a demon summoned from the abyss, the plot remains far more dramatic and exhilarating than coping with office politics and a small-minded boss.

Readers who enjoy fantasy tend to come back to the genre over and over again because of the escape provided by high stakes adventure and struggle. These plots make every day life seem easier. There are no magical forces working against you or powerful monsters attacking you or marauding armies burning your home. Although general fiction titles can be excellent and interesting, they lack for the lover of fantasy the ability to step away from the trials of ordinary life and contemplate how to cope with fantastical problems in a fantastical world.

Scoring A Touchdown With Your NFL Football Party

Want to pull off one of the best NFL football party ever? Your first goal is to make some football invitations. If you can't find pre made ones, look through the paper at your local craft store. They'll have paper that looks like the texture of a football. Cut your invites in the shape of a football. With a few creative touches, you can make your own football invitation.

With an NFL football party, plan on having guests play the game. You'll have to make sure you invite enough people to be divided up into groups. They will love being able to show off their skills. If you plan on having a game, make sure you that your guests should wear comfortable clothing. You should provide a couple footballs to play with.

Now it's time to decorate for the NFL football party, you can go with the colors of a favorite football team. If you have your party at a park, they should have picnic tables you can set up at. If you're at a local recreation center you can set up your party outside after the game. It shouldn't be too hard to move some tables over for the party. You can get balloons in the colors you've picked, along with streamers etc.

Looking at you're local craft store, you might find some NFL football party themed items also! Giving out favors for your NFL football party could be a great idea, like footballs for everyone. If you decided to play a football game, make sure that everyone plays by the rules, but have fun! You can either have the party before or after you play. Now make sure that everyone has fun, and make sure that you clean up the area you've used.

A Beach Party With Or Without A Beach

You don't need a beach to throw a beach party. Start out with your invites; if you don't live near the beach use that for part of the invite! If you make the invite catchy then more people will come. Make sure you send them out two to three weeks in advance.

If you were planning for a large elaborate beach party you could see how much it would cost to move in some sand. If you do that you can set up a volleyball area. Even without sand this could work.

If you have a pool that could also work into you're beach party. You can suggest in you're invite that there is a pool ready to be used. You set a room aside for changing or invite them to come in their swimwear!

For decoration for you're beach party, get some streamers, large balls for the pool etc. if you're party is going to go long into the night string up some color lights and get some Tiki torches to set the stage.

Other ideas for your beach party could be having a set of fruity drinks for people to pick from. If you would like your party to be extra fun then you should offer dinner. If you don't have a large budget ask that you're guest bring a favorite food to share. This will give you a lot of food for everyone to eat. If you still want to add something to dinner, you can provide the meat.

Make sure that everyone has a good time at you're beach party. Most of all have a good time yourself. Find someone to help you make sure that everyone has been served dinner. If you have a pool, make sure that there is someone there always to watch it. With any kind of beach party you can make it great with a few simple ideas!

Inflatables are Fun Party Décor to Create a Theme Celebration

The average party decoration may not cut it alone at today’s parties, so you’ll need to step it up a notch with fun and interesting plastic inflatables. Inflatables can be made to fit any idea that you have come across. There are fish and tropical tree inflatables, birthday cake inflatables and dinosaur inflatables. These certainly make for conversation starters among the guests at your party and they help to really set the atmosphere of your party.

Inflatables are easy to set up. They usually come folded down in their packaging. You’ll need to open them up and blow air into the plastic inflatable through the air valve to expand it to its proper shape. It’s not necessary to overfill the inflatable; it’s not like trying to reach a certain pressure point on tires. Just stop blowing air into the inflatable when the plastic has filled in its proper shape.

Place your fun inflatables around the party areas. Usually sticking them in a corner or on a table works best as long as they are out of the traffic area but can still be seen by your guests. The great thing about party inflatables is that you can use them over and over again. They aren’t like paper goods that deteriorate and are usually only good for one party. Inflatables last through many parties.

There are even inflatable shoes that you can pass out at the party as favors or for prizes. Guests will get a kick out of shuffling around the dance floor in them. You can also keep drink cool in a nifty inflatable cooler. This is a pineapple cooler suitable for tropical themed parties. It comes with a lid, all you have to do is inflate and fill with ice. It really keeps drinks cold, plus it’s a pretty accent to the party.

Bob the Builder Party Supplies, Decorations, and Favors for Kids Parties

The preschooler’s television show called Bob the Builder is lots of fun to use as a possible party theme for your small child. Boys and girls are interested in the television show, which exposes them to the possibilities in creating and building objects and buildings. There are also an unbelievable number of party supplies available with the Bob the Builder theme or a similar construction theme. You are certain to find something suitable for your child’s next party.

Bob the builder plates are distinctive and easy to find in the crowd because of their square shape. You’ll also notice that Bob the Builder himself is usually displayed on the front busy working on some construction project. This is the same with Bob the Builder napkins, cups and tablecloths which are plastic to give some protection to the table in case of spills.

Be sure to send out appropriately themed Bob the Builder invitations to your child’s neighbors and friends. Make certain to include date, time, address and good directions for the parents.

Door prizes at the party can be fun plastic construction hats. You’ll find that there both pink and yellow ones available for the kids to pick out their favorite. Another fun prize is an inflatable hammer for the kids to pretend they are doing construction work with.

Bob the Builder is also popular in sticker form. Place mini dots of Bob the Builder inside themed loot bags. You can fill these loot bags with candy too or special Bob the Builder Blowouts for lots of noisemaking at your party. For the guest of honor get a Bob the Builder Sticker Album with a plastic carrying case.

As a special activity you can look for a construction themed piñata, perhaps a piñata modeled after a yellow dump truck. Fill it up with more stickers and assorted candies and prizes.
